Wholly Grace

In my studio is a box of random chards, shattered pieces salvaged over the years. Some are gathering dust; others are recently fallen. I see brokenness in these random clay chips. However, they are not useless or nonfunctional but can be used anew.

This is symbolic for me of broken worlds, broken people that can be repaired and reunified and reconnected with the world and the Creator. Thus the present becomes infused by what has been, what is being and what will be.

The Divine Mystery is that in this ever changing world what has been bypassed, refused, broken, left to stagnate, can be employed to make new wholes in the spirit of creative grace.

Thus Wholly Grace.
